Born from a counter full of mystery cups.
MyColourCup began with a familiar family problem: more cups appearing throughout the day, and no one quite sure whose was whose.
A better way to identify a cup.
Founder Shelly Zimmerman developed the original idea after watching her own children leave cups behind and reach for new ones. The answer was an identifier that stays with the cup, ready to be reassigned with a twist.
That practical idea became MyColourCup: a reusable cup system designed to make shared family spaces feel a little less chaotic.
A practical idea, noticed
Recognized in Anthill’s 2011 SMART 100.
MyColourCup was also voted into the 2011 Readers’ Choice top 20. The same problem still deserves a simple answer.
